Colorful industrial headquarters

Snøhetta has designed Holmen Industrial Area on behalf of shipowner Holmøy Maritime, a highly sophisticated and colorful fishing facility situated in Northern Norway. By assembling all employees and top-notch facilities on the same site, this bold facility ensures the regions continued international success within Norway’s second largest industry.
The facility intelligently blurs the distinction between the rawness of the fishing industry with a more polished corporate allure by subtly merging Holmøy Maritime’s trawling, fish farming and fish processing business and the company’s headquarters.
In the fishing headquarters expansion, Snøhetta continues its approach of colour accents on the outside and inside. In the office buildings, colourful walls were chosen with arrangements of EchoCoustic® panels in shades of green and blue respectively.
The globally renowned architecture studio Snøhetta has always been framed by environmental and cultural sensitivity. In the constant search for more sustainable solutions, the studio discovered ECHOJAZZ solutions made of recycled PET with its appealing design features and used it first for their project Henie Onstad Museum in 2020.
