EuroShop 2026 Düsseldorf
What We Saw, What We Learned, and What Still Matters

EuroShop 2026 Düsseldorf once again confirmed its position as one of the most relevant global trade fairs for retail architecture, store design, and material innovation.

But beyond the scale and the surfaces, what truly stood out were the conversations.

If there’s one thing that becomes clear within a few hours on the floor of EuroShop 2026, it’s this:

EuroShop isn’t just a fair – it’s a global melting pot of ideas, materials, and connections.

From Peru to India to Brazil, professionals travelled halfway across the world to be here. Architects, planners, retail developers, store builders. Not to browse – but to evaluate.

Retail has become global.
Decisions, however, remain deeply practical.

A Global Crowd – and Real Moments

The diversity was remarkable. Conversations moved across continents and disciplines. What united them was one recurring question:

Will this work in my project?

There were also small, human moments that reflect the intensity of the week. Heavy traffic delayed our host on Day 2 – so we opened the stand ourselves. Within minutes, we were in the middle of technical discussions. The fair does not wait.

Even the rainy start (yes, the parking lot turned muddy enough to cause a few unexpected slips) couldn’t slow the energy inside the halls.

That energy matters.

Materials Must Be Experienced – Not Explained

One central insight from EuroShop 2026 Düsseldorf:

Many professionals still underestimate PET as a material.

Although PET plays a significant role in sustainable retail concepts and acoustic solutions, for many visitors this was their first serious encounter. Once they touched, compared, and discussed it within real project contexts, perception shifted quickly.

“I didn’t expect it to feel like this.”

That sentence came up more than once.

This is precisely why the collaboration with Pyrasied proved powerful. Instead of displaying materials, we made them tangible. Visitors compared surfaces, experienced acoustic behaviour, and evaluated combinations in realistic retail scenarios.

Seeing changes perception.
Touching changes decisions.

ONE MATERIAL – TWO INTERPRETATIONS

While our customised EchoBaffle® cloud took centre stage at Pyrasied, our PET material was also present in a very different architectural setting.

For the L&S stand, which Visual Display Italia conceived as an immersive spatial concept, the team designed retail as an open, atmospheric, sensory environment. Light, movement, and material merged into a spatial narrative that intentionally dissolved boundaries.

Within this setting, our PET material clad the catering island and became part of the overall design vision.

Two different scenarios.
One material.
Multiple possibilities.

substance over show

Our collaboration with the Pyrasied Team was genuinely collaborative.

We were not merely co-exhibitors, but engaged in continuous professional exchange. Perspectives were discussed. Arguments refined. Details challenged. Visitors could sense that dynamic.

People did not stay because of spectacle.
They stayed because of substance.

And in store design, substance ultimately wins projects.

The Strategic Question: What About ROI?

EuroShop is inspiring. For architects and retail designers, it remains a must-visit platform. The density of materials, systems, and surfaces is unmatched.

But inspiration alone does not justify participation.

Trade fairs create opportunity.
Return on investment is created afterwards.

Structured follow-up, disciplined evaluation of contacts, and the ability to transform serious conversations into real projects ultimately determine value.

This is where EuroShop 2026 Düsseldorf proves its relevance.

Less buzz. More substance.
