The FLEX furniture range from our partner Ultima K in Denmark is the answer It was designed by the architectural firm MATTERS and further developed in cooperation with experts, children and staff at the Heerup School in Copenhagen.
The flexible elements made of soft PET acoustic panels from ECHOJAZZ reduce noise. Their muted, warm colours combine with the birch wood to create a calming and natural ambience. A harmonious solution in terms of colours, materials and furniture.
“WE HAVE A STUDENT WHO USED TO SIT IN A SEPARATE ROOM BECAUSE HE COULD NOT MANAGE SITTING IN THE REGULAR CLASS- ROOM. BY USING THE FLEX FURNITURE, HE IS NOW ABLE TO SIT IN THE CLASSROOM AND PARTICIPATE TO A DEGREE DEPENDING ON HIS ABILITIES OF THE DAY.”
FRANK PAULSEN, HEAD OF SCHOOL AT HEERUP SKOLE
The new furniture changes what a child can manage during the day. For this reason, the elements have been designed to meet the needs. Walls can be folded out when shelter is needed. A noise-reducing sound screen can be added. The entire FLEX range is easy to move and offers flexibility.
