DEWinnner of the 2021 Archiproducts Design Awards
MCart wins the Archiproducs Design Award 2021 Special Mention for Sustainability. We are honoured to receive this prize for our workstation that combines three dimensions of sustainable design:
MATERIALS
The EchoBoard® acoustic absorber is made of 100% PET with a recycled content of at least 50 PET bottles per square metre. It is recyclable, is taken back and processed into EchoFlakes®. The metal frame is recyclable.
DESIGN FOR CIRCULARITY
Thanks to its modular construction, parts can be replaced or functionalities expanded. At the end of life, the MCart materials can easily be separated and recycled.
SUSTAINABLE USAGE
The MCart adapts to the changing needs of users. This makes the workstation a pioneer for flexible working situations that lead to less office space and more home office. In this way, it provides an important impetus to design company offices in a resource-saving and CO2-neutral way when viewed as a whole.
