Wave-shaped acoustic ceiling
The bakery Weibel has been well anchored in the Lucerne region since 1913 and is already being run by the 5th generation. The newly developed Dreiklang area gives Sursee a certain city feeling and new businesses are finding their new home here. This is also the case for Weibel AG with its café: My Weibel im Dreiklang. The perfect location for an after-work get together, a delicious lunch or a brunch. Here, the room acoustics were already taken into account as an important component during the project planning.
The project was developed and elaborated by Beck Konzept AG together with ECHOJAZZ partner Bellton AG . From the beginning, it was clear that a baffle ceiling should aesthetically enhance the room and improve the acoustics. The EchoBaffle® system was chosen because it is ideally suited for projects of this size. This creates a pleasant room climate for both guests and the staff. In the end, the baffle ceiling design resulted in an imposing appearance consisting of over 600 individual parts, which were made to measure at ECHOJAZZ with millimetre precision.
The counter in the café is reminiscent of a huge Viking ship, and the baffle ceiling with its wave shape matches the open sea and gives the room that certain something for the ear and the eye.
